The pgei is the not-for-profit organizing structure for a growing alliance of institutions seeking to make dramatic cuts in GHG’s through the commercial success of innovative green and clean energy technologies (GCET's) - energy supply and conservation. We were formally established in 2006 are we are based in British Columbia. We have established strong business oriented links throughout the Cascadia Region and with China. We operate under the auspices of the Cascadia Institute - a federally registered charitable society, for non-profit policy research and public education established in 1992. Our initial funding was provided by the National Research Council Industrial Research Assistance Program and Institute for Fuel Cell Innovation, the British Columbia Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources, the Globe Foundation of Canada and Baron Group (a Hong Kong based merchant bank). |
